Praising God and thanking Him are two of the most important things a child of the King can do. Over and over the writers of Scripture, especially in the Psalms, tell us to do just that.
Miss Nan spent many years in the educational field. She started as an English teacher, moved into administration, and served as president of a private junior college in Jackson, Mississippi.
It was in Jackson that she found her true calling, teaching the Word of God in a local church, Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Soon after becoming a member, she began to teach Sunday School, first to older women and currently to younger women, and periodically to men and women during a span of over thirty-five years.
Until a few years ago, Miss Nan believed her mission was in her local church. However, when a pastor of another church asked her to teach a Bible study to his congregation, she did not hesitate to agree to do so. She knew this was on her list of work in heaven.
Now, at age eighty-seven, she is going out to churches as the Lord leads. She truly believes that in God’s work, it is always too early to quit.
