“Every child should have the chance to live on a farm,” asserts Bonnie Siegrist. “It’s magical.” She spent her own childhood on a farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. When her granddaughter asked her to write down her memories, after a visit to the old farm, she knew God was calling her to put her stories into print.
She and her husband, Ken, reside in St. Petersburg, Florida near their son and daughter and seven grandchildren. Bonnie divides her time between writing the Little Farm series and speaking on her favorite topics: parenting, grand parenting, and writing. She and her husband also visit schools and present Christian values while entertaining with puppets and skits.
Before its publication, her first book in the Little Farm series won the Florida Writers Association’s “Best Unpublished Children’s Book Award.” Xulon Press awarded her the 2004 Best New Christian Author Award.
