Upon his commissioning as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Pastor Grant embarked on a distinguished military career, eventually earning a PhD in Biochemistry from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1991. Serving in various ministry positions in Germany, in 2007, after completing his Master of Ministry Leadership degree from Rockbridge Seminary, Pastor Grant founded Covenant Community Church in San Antonio, Texas, where he continues to serve as Senior Pastor-Teacher. Earl and his wife, Ivory, have two sons and two grandchildren.
